Bedroomconfessions Scores At Mohawk

A perfect, pocket trip was parlayed into an impressive score in sub-1:50 fashion for pacing mare Bedroomconfessions during Friday’s 10-race card at Mohawk Racetrack.

Sylvain Filion parked past the opening quarter of :26.2 with Bedroomconfessions, who eventually worked her way to the lead. She quickly came under pressure in the backstretch, however, and wound up releasing Request For Parole to the lead.

That mare hit the half in :54.3 and then three-quarter pole in 1:22.2, but she couldn’t seal the deal. Bedroomconfessions angled off the rail in the lane, and then used her :26.4 closing quarter to win by 2-1/2 lengths in 1:49.3. Request For Parole was a dead game runner-up, with the show dough going to Much Adoo.

Sent off as the 6-5 favourite, the five-year-old daughter of American Ideal-Turnoffthelights improved her 2017 record to 7-2-0 from 16 starts. The homebred, who is owned by Riverview Racing LLC and Alagna Racing LLC, pushed her career earnings past $900,000 with the win.
