Shawn Steacy met three of his trainees in the Woodbine Mohawk Park winner's circle on Tuesday (July 25) evening, earning victories in two Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots divisions and in the Whenuwishuponastar Series.

Twin Delight opened up the evening action for the 10-race card and headed the night of success for his own stable. The Steacy trainee was driven to victory in the $23,000 third leg of the OSS Grassroots for sophomore pacing fillies by Bob McClure.

Twin Delight left out of the gate from post three in the field of 10, grabbing the pocket trip as Prove Em Wrong (James MacDonald) became the early pacesetter to the quarter in :26.1. McClure moved Twin Delight out and around Prove Em Wrong to take command, leading the field to the half in :55.2 and three-quarters in 1:24.2. Twin Delight faced a challenge from Occasionally Sharp (Tyler Borth) in the final turn, but kept on moving to a 1-1/2 win in 1:52.2. Occasionally Sharp was second and Twin B Echo (Trevor Henry) took third.

Hutt Racing Stable owns the three-year-old Bettors Delight-Twin B Cheeks daughter as she won her third race in eight starts this season. Twin Delight pushed her career earnings to a six-figure salary of $106,956. She paid $5.80 to win.

Century Jamila followed a similar path to her stablemate in the second division of OSS Grassroots action with James MacDonald at the controls.

From post seven, MacDonald and Century Jamila got away second behind Chedda Chedda (Trevor Henry) through the quarter in :26.3 before taking over. Century Jamila led the field of 10 to the half in :55 and three-quarters in 1:23. Shake It Twice (Louis-Philippe Roy) gave her a tough challenge down the stretch as they met eye-to-eye. Century Jamila stuck her neck out to win in 1:51.3 over Shake It Twice. Uncontrolled (Doug McNair) maneuvered through traffic in the stretch to take third.

K and K Stable, Landmark 15 Racing Stable, A K Malik Stable and David Reid co-own Century Jamila. Unraced as a freshman, the Bettors Delight-Exotic Pleasure daughter set her seasonal record to 5-3-1 in 12 starts with $70,830 banked. The mile was a career best for Century Jamila. A win ticket paid $3.50.

McClure and Steacy teamed up for a second victory together with Reigning Jade (pictured above), winning leg one of the $20,000 Whenuwishuponastar Pacing Series for two-year-old fillies.

Reigning Jade and Bob McClure were the designated pacesetter for the mile in the field scratched down to eight freshmen. The pair timed the panels in :27.2, :56.3 and 1:25.1 before winning by a length in 1:52.2. Singingintherain (Sylvain Filion) followed the pocket trip before closing to a strong finish in second and Elodie Hanover (MacDonald) grabbed third.

Mark Steacy co-owns the two-year-old Captaintreacherous-Abbijade Hanover daughter with Hudson Standrdbrd Stb Inc. as she won her debut track appearance. Reigning Jade paid $5.40 to win.

In the third OSS Grassroots division, Mending Fences (Doug McNair) was parked to the quarter in :27.3 before taking command, setting panels in :57.2 and 1:25.3 en route to a win in 1:53.1 by a neck over Dance With Tabby (Jonathan Drury). Grandeur Seelster (Austin Sorrie) was third.

Trainer Meg Crone co-owns Mending Fences (Artspeak-Bridge To Tomorrow) with Anthony Haughan. The filly earned her fifth win in six starts this season and sixth career victory. She paid $4 to win.

Elises Delight (MacDonald) won the fourth and final OSS Grassroots division of the evening, sitting third throughout the panels in :26.3, :55.4 and 1:24.3 before winning by a neck in 1:52 over Talk Curdy To Me (Roy) and Star So Bright (McNair).
