Kelly Collects Another Hat Trick

After scoring three victories in the afternoon at Century Downs, trainer Dave Kelly nabbed three more victories in the six-race make-up card held on Tuesday night (July 20) at the Calgary oval.

Kelly’s evening hat trick came naturally, with his wins coming in Races 2, 3 and 4. He first visited the winner’s circle with True Horizon ($4.40) before swooping from last in the following race to win with My Day ($7.40). He then pulled a larger off-the-pace upset in his third win when Gin Twist ($14.70) strode to an open-length win.
