Bettors Delight Brother Wins In NJSS Action

The second leg of the New Jersey Sires Stakes for freshmen pacing colts and geldings featured a pair of divisions worth over $30,000 each on Saturday night amidst the excitement of the Meadowlands Pace eliminations

Lookinforadventure rallied off cover and kicked home in :26.3 to win the first $30,500 division in 1:52.2 with John Campbell aboard. Pacesetter Shadyshark Hanover (Andy Miller) finished three lengths behind with Howards Rock (Yannick Gingras) picking up the show dough.

The winning Rocknroll Hanover-Student Driver colt, now two-for-two in his career, is trained by Bruce Saunders for Frank Bellino of Bronxville, New York.

Roll With Joe and George Brennan pulled off an 8-1 upset in the second $31,000 division as four colts spread across the track at the wire. The Ed Hart pupil nosed out his competition to win in 1:54. Mr Apple (David Miller) and Gritty Millie Boy (Brian Sears) finished right there in second and third with Rockabout (Ron Pierce) a half-length back in fourth.

The son of Cams Card Shark out of the Hall of Fame mare Classic Wish is a full-brother to double millionaire Bettors Delight and half-brother to millionaire No Pan Intended. Purchased for $100,000 at the Lexington Select sale, Roll With Joe is owned by Blue Chip Bloodstock Inc., Stephen Demeter, Not To Worry Stable and breeder Winbak Farm. The win was his first in two lifetime starts.
