Whether the sport is harness racing or baseball, these are good times to be known as Jason Bartlett

On the harness racing side, there is driver Jason James Bartlett, a 28-year-old Maine native who now lives in Goshen, New York.

Entering Monday, Bartlett ranked third in North America in purse earnings, with more than $4 million, and was sixth in wins, with 297. Jason James won the driving title at Yonkers Raceway in 2008 and is the track's leading driver again this season. Jason James represented the United States in the World Driving Championships in Norway arlier this year. He finished sixth.

As for baseball, there is Jason Alan Bartlett, a 29-year-old California native who plays shortstop for the Tampa Bay Rays.

Jason Alan is batting .364 with seven home runs and 36 runs-batted in this year. He also has 16 stolen bases and has scored 42 runs despite missing 19 games because of an ankle injury. Last week, he set the Rays' club record when he hit safely in his 19th consecutive game. His .364 average would rank No. 2 in the American League, but he is 11 plate appearances shy of qualifying among the leaders.

Jason James was a standout basketball player in college. There is no word on whether he could hit a curveball.
