Warrawee Xenia Continues To Impress

The legend of Warrawee Xenia continues to grow just as the stakes season starts to get into full swing.

The three-year-old daughter of Walner-Endless Flirt had the outside post to deal with in an $18,000 conditioned event for trotters on Tuesday at Woodbine Mohawk Park, and she passed the test with flying colours.

Bob McClure got away third with Warrawee Xenia while Mask Of Zorro (:28.2) and R Royal Port (:57.3 and 1:26.2) took turns on the lead.  McClure moved his charge first over on the way to the half, and she continued to chip away while on a rated, first-over advance.

Warrawee Xenia took dead aim at R Royal Port as the field entered the lane, and she used a :27.2 closing quarter to drive away to a 4-1/4 length triumph over R Royal Port in 1:54.  Feel The Force was third.

The winning streak is now four-in-a-row and counting for the Shawn Steacy trainee, who was sent off as the 1-5 favourite in the trotting tilt.  She is owned by David McDonald, Dale Larson, Bertrand Gilhespy Stable and A K Malik Stable.  The sophomore now boasts a 4-1-0 record from five trips to the track this season after going one-for-five during last year’s rookie campaign.  She’s banked $49,000 to date.
