Three-year-old pacing fillies were the featured attraction at Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino on Friday, June 23 as they squared off in the second round of Indiana Sires Stakes. Two $50,000 divisions highlighted the evening’s 14-race card and Hoosier's leading trainer and driver teamed up to sweep the stakes.

In the first division, Rollin Rosie (pictured above) delivered as the heavy betting favourite with a 1:51.1 score with Trace Tetrick in the bike for trainer Tyler George.

Leaving from post nine, Tetrick sent Rollin Rosie away from the gate just enough to get a spot along the pylons in seventh through the opening panel in :27.2. Fortunada and John DeLong were on top before yielding the lead to Polks Image and Kyle Wilfong just before the half in :56.2.

As the field approached the third station 1:24.1, Rollin Rosie was on the attack from first-over. Using a :27 final quarter, she was able to track down Polks Image and hold off a late surge from Fortunada to get the win. Fortunada was forced to settle for second while Sleazy Mama and Michael Oosting rallied well for third.

As the favourite, Rollin Rosie returned $3 at the betting windows.

Rollin Rosie is now two-for-two this season and has won eight of nine lifetime starts. The daughter of JK Endofanera-Rock N Roll Baby has now earned $242,500 in lifetime purse earnings for owners Scp Stable Inc., Tyler George and Gregory Samples. Rollin Rosie was bred by Mahlon Lambright.

In the second division, Tetrick used similar tactics to steer Tells On A Roll to a 1:51.2 victory.

Leaving from post four, Tells On A Roll got away fifth through the opening quarter in :27.2. Some Big Dream and Joey Putnam dictated first half fractions of :27.2 and :56 before ever feeling a threat from the rest of the field.

Tells On A Roll moved first-over and was able to track down Some Big Dream late in the lane. Its Corona Time and Ricky Macomber Jr. used a ground-saving trip and rallied well late to get up for second while Some Big Dream held on for third.

Tells On A Roll returned $3.60 to her backers at the betting windows.

With the victory, the daughter of Tellitlikeitis-Have Rock Willroll is undefeated in two starts this season and has four wins in 14 starts lifetime. Owned in partnership by Engel Stable Of IL LLC, Louis Willinger and Tyler George, Tells On A Roll has banked closed to $100,000 to date. The filly was bred by Victory Hill Farm.

Live harness racing will continue at Hoosier Park on Saturday, June 24 with a 12-race card beginning at 7 p.m.
