The draw for the Western Regional Driving Championship this Sunday, June 26 at Century Downs Racetrack and Casino near Calgary, Alberta, is now complete.

Alberta Drivers
Travis Cullen
Mike Hennessy
Gerry Hudon (subbing for an injured Phil Giesbrecht)
Dave Kelly

British Columbia Drivers

Paul Davies
Jim Marino

Manitoba Driver

Century Downs will also feature a $15,000 Guaranteed Pick 4 on Sunday’s card.

The top two finishers, based on points, from the Western Regional will go on to compete in the National Driving Championship on October 14 at The Raceway at Western Fair District in London, Ontario. The winner of the NDC will represent Canada in the 2017 World Drivng Championship which will be hosted in Canada.

The I Love Canadian Harness Racing Fan Club is gearing up for an exciting week of handicapping contests this week to commemorate each of the upcoming Regional Driving Championships (RDC). There will be a separate contest for each, (you need to enter each contest to maximize your point total) but players’ point totals in each contest are added together to determine the winner, so be sure to play in all three contests this week and the final one for the QRDC.

Your challenge is to select the top two drivers from each region that will advance to the 2016 National Driving Championship (NDC) taking place at The Raceway at Western Fair District on Friday, October 14.
