Vernon Downs will host four divisions of the New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for three-year-old pacing colts and geldings on Father’s Day Sunday (June 19).

The Julie Miller-trained American Classic, to be driven by Andy Miller, is the 5-2 morning line favourite in the $30,550 first division.   After no starts as a freshman, the colt by American Ideal has three wins in four races this season. His top contender appears to be the American Ideal gelding Twin B Deluxe, with Jason Bartlett listed to drive.  He is coming off a NYSS victory at Saratoga.  Trained by Andrew Harris, the gelding has four wins and three seconds in seven starts this season.

Ron Burke trains All About The Hunt, who is the 3-1 morning line favourite in the $29,950 second division for driver David Miller.  The colt by Huntsville is coming off a second-place finish in his only career start, boasting a time of 1:50.3 at the Meadowlands. Hazeville, with Mark MacDonald between the wheels, is the 4-1 second morning line choice.  The gelding by Huntsville is trained by John McDermott.  He has three wins this season including a NYSS division at Saratoga.

Pleaseletmeknow by American Ideal is the 5-2 favourite in the $29,950 third division with Matt Kakaley listed to drive.  The gelding is on a three-race winning streak including two NYSS divisions.  He has six career wins and is trained by Travis Alexander. The Joe Holloway-trained Early Action, with Miller listed, is the 3-1 morning line second choice.  The three-year-old gelding by Huntsville finished sixth when making his season's debut in the North America Cup eliminations last weekend after a terrific freshman campaign that saw him win eight times and bank more than $440,000.

The Gareth Dowse-trained Kingsville, to be driven by Jason Bartlett, is the 9-5 morning line favourite in the $30,550 fourth division.  The gelding by Huntsville has three wins this season, including back-to-back Excelsior Series divisions this month.

The 12-race card starts at 12:15 p.m.
