Since the start of the 2016 Scioto Downs race season, the four Tuesday and five Wednesday race cards at Scioto Downs have shown dramatic increases in total handle.
The Tuesday race cards have shown a 13.15 per cent increase, while the Wednesday cards have shown a 100.15 per cent increase over the 2015 race season.
The increases on the weekday cards have helped the total handle for the 26-day season total 37.80 per cent above last year.
The track is attributing the rise in handle to full fields, competitive races, and an aggressive driving colony.
