A pair of $200,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes Finals for three-year-old trotters will be contested on Saturday

, June 12 at the Meadowlands.

Break The Bank K was installed the 5-2 favourite in the final for trotting colts and geldings. The colt by Revenue S won his 2010 debut in 1:56.3 on May 28, but came up short in the second leg of the series, finishing third to Muscle Massive. He looks to rebound Saturday night with Brian Sears in the sulky. Break The Bank K is 7-for16 lifetime and will start from post nine. Trond Smedshammer trains the colt for Bob Key of Leechburg, PA. Break The Bank K is eligible for the $1.5 million Hambletonian August 7, 2010.

“He came into the barn in good shape [this year] and he’s been living up to the expectations all along,” Smedshammer said. “I raced him once and qualified him twice and he definitely likes to track down horses. I feel he’s going to be racing on the front end at times, too, but he certainly likes to race off the pace.

“We’re a little undecided [on the game plan between now and the Hambletonian],” he added. “After [Saturday’s] final he’s going to have a couple of weeks off and then it’s either the Historic [Dickerson Cup] here or the Yonkers Trot.”

Costa Rica headlines the fourth race NJSS final for trotting fillies as the 3-1 favourite. The daughter of Muscles Yankee will start from post position seven for driver Ron Pierce and trainer Jimmy Takter. In her three-year-old debut, the filly won the first round of the series in 1:56.4, boosting her career wins to 11 for owners Christina Takter of East Windsor, NJ and John and Jim Fielding of Toronto, ON.

The pair of NJSS championships share the spotlight with the $500,000 Anthony Abbatiello New Jersey Classic and the $175,000 Thomas D’Altrui Miss New Jersey for pacers.
