Six Straight Scores For Oney Hall

Oney Hall made it look easy once again Monday evening in winning the top trot class at Woodbine Mohawk Park, but the hard part was simply coming out of the paddock for the streaking gelding.

In search of his sixth straight score, Oney Hall was quite reluctant to make his way to the track for driver Trevor Henry, but once he got to there he was all business.

Henry got away second with the Bob McIntosh trainee while Dream Nation fired to the front and supplied the field with an opening quarter clocked in :27.4. Henry vacated the pocked once the field entered the backstretch, and in a matter of strides Oney Hall worked his way to the front.

The six-year-old son of Deweycheatumnhowe-On With The Show laid down middle splits of :56.4 and 1:26 before storming home in :27.2 to win by three-quarters of a length over Spartan General. Dream Nation tagged along to finish third in the $45,500 affair.

Alan Leavitt, who recently was quite vocal in the media about not being invited to this year’s Elitlopp, owns the 26-time winner who lifted his lifetime earnings to $438,794 with the victory. He’s manufactured a 6-0-2 record from 10 starts this season.
