Logan Park Lowers The Boom At Mohawk Park

After getting hauled down late as an overwhelming favourite in last Monday’s Free For All Trot at Woodbine Mohawk Park, Logan Park returned to the class on Monday evening with one thing on his mind – exact some revenge.

The Kyle Fellows trainee did exactly that in front-stepping fashion for teamster Doug McNair, who piloted the gelding to a 1:52 triumph in the $36,000 affair.

McNair hustled Logan Park to the lead from Post 5 and together they sliced out splits of :27.4, :57 and 1:25.2 before uncorking a :26.3 closing panel.  That was good enough to earn him the win by 3-1/4 lengths over HP Mama B in 1:52.  Taking home third prize was two-time O’Brien Award winner, Adare Castle.       

The victory improved the homebred’s 2023 record to 4-1-0 from five attempts.  The 16-time winner has stashed away $808,222 for partners Outofthepark Stable, Reg Higgs and Arpad Szabo.
