Who would harness racing's sharpest minds select in the 2017 Trot Magazine Fantasy Stable? Trot Insider will feature 'expert picks' in advance of Friday's entry deadline.

Media relations manager and on-air personality for The Meadowlands, Justin Horowitz has offered his picks for the 2017 Fantasy Stable. Horowitz has tabbed Mach It A Par as a horse to watch in Group E.

"As long as she stays healthy, Mach It A Par has proven she is potentially dominant at Yonkers. Although she may not be a regular in the stakes ranks, she can regularly win at the top overnight level at Yonkers and that money isn't too shabby!"

A winner of more than $404,000 last year, Mach It A Par made all but one of her contest-counting starts at Yonkers in 2016, competing exclusively in the Fillies & Mares Open class.

The contest is based on total earnings of selected horses and five percent of the earnings of selected trainers and drivers between May 19 and December 31, 2017..

For the purposes of the fantasy bankroll, the winners (horses only) of the 2017 Breeders Crown Finals will each receive a $200,000 contest bankroll bonus. Also, in the two-year-old categories, contestants are once again asked to select TWO horses.

At the end of the year, the winner of the contest will receive entry into and travel to the 2018 World Harness Handicapping Championship, a prize valued at (approx) $1,300.
