Lawsuit Filed Over MA Slots Licence

It has been reported that George Carney, the owner of Raynham Park, has filed a lawsuit against the Massachusetts Gaming Commission in an attempt to block Penn National Gaming from getting its racino plans at Plainridge Racecourse underway.

The news comes courtesy of a report by North Attleborough Free Press which states that Carney filed the suit late last Friday (May 9).

The article explains that the Carney has taken the position that Plainridge’s former owner, Ourway Realty, will continue to profit when the slots parlour is up and running in 2015.

The report has cited Penn National as having taken the position that the Carney’s suit lacks merit.
