Driver Doug McNair wasted no time in hustling LoganPark to the position of command. He raced parked while leading at the quarter pole in :27.2, and then worked to the top and controlled the tempo through middle panels of :57.1 and 1:25.2. A closing quarter of :28.2 was more than enough for the gelding to win by 1-1/4 lengths over Locatelli in 1:53.4. Patriarch Hanover close from last to finish third.
Sent off at odds of 1-5, the Kyle Fellows pupil nabbed the 14th win of his career while lifting his lifetime earnings to $778,222. The five-year-old son of Archangel-Rite Outa The Park is a homebred owned by Outofthepark Stable, Reg Higgs and Arpad Szabo.
