Experience the thrill of owning a racehorse for free. The Ohio Harness Horsemen's Association’s Racing Fantasy League is back in 2024. Fantasy stable owners will compete for over $4,500 USD in prizes.
Stable owners create a fantasy roster of six horses, four of which can be any age but must be picked from a pre-determined list supplied by the association. The remaining two horses must be Ohio-sired two-year-olds. The winning stable will be determined by total earnings between May 1, 2024 and Breeders Crown Day on Oct. 26, 2024.
The winning stable will receive the grand prize of $2,000 USD. Second place through fifth place will also receive cash prizes. Second place will receive $1,000 USD, third will win $500 USD, fourth will receive $250 USD and fifth place will win $125 USD. Bonus prizes will be awarded for the entry whose Ohio-sired horses win the most money and for the biggest “Return on Investment.”
The league is open to any individual who has not owned a Standardbred that has raced in the last two years. Fractional ownership of less than five per cent does not prohibit participation.
Current Standardbred owners are encouraged to invite their friends and family to participate in the Fantasy Racing League.
