Making the winning move at the quarter pole, driver Travis Cullen looped 1-5 favourite Tells On A Roll to the lead in the Friday, April 5 feature race at Woodbine Mohawk Park and Canada's richest pacing mare of the season remained undefeated in the $36,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred class this year.

After landing in the pocket through a :27.3 quarter, Tells On A Roll fronted the field to the half in :56.1 and raced on to three-quarters in 1:23.3 with three-time O'Brien Award-winning mare So Much More and James MacDonald looming first-over. Tells On A Roll took off turning for home and cruised to a comfortable victory in 1:51.3 by 1-1/2 lengths. So Much More finished second over early leader Style For A Mile and Doug McNair.

After facing the boys and finishing second to this season's undefeated Preferred star Taurasi last time out on March 23, Tells On A Roll dominated the distaffers for the fifth time this year. From half a dozen seasonal starts, she's banked $99,000 and leads all Standardbreds for money earned in Canada this year as of press time.

Jodie Cullen trains the four-year-old Tellitlikeitis-Have Rock Willroll mare for owners Paul Sanders of Surrey, B.C., and A1stable and Ron Cullen of Dundas, Ont.

Tells On A Roll paid $2.70 to win and $2.10 to place. There was no show wagering.
