Ontario Sires Stakes graduate Camille notched her first win as a four-year-old on Wednesday in the $12,500 Fillies & Mares Preferred Pace at Western Fair Raceway

.

Making just her second start of 2012, the Jason Brewer-driven Camille got away fourth but advanced three-wide around the first over Farmers Tuition (Trevor Henry) down the backside and tracked down Call Me Yours (Stuart Sowerby), who had carved out fractions of :28, :57.3, and 1:26.3. The Camluck-Art Of Design miss put away the pacesetter past the third quarter mark and drew off to win by over five lengths in 1:55.3. Victim Of Love (Alfie Carroll) rallied from the back of the pack to place and Farmers Tuition finished third.

Camille is trained by Rodney Duford for owner-breeder Larry Pollard of Harrow, Ont. The 2010 Grassroots Championship winner finished fourth in last year's Super Final and after competing among the Open ranks late season at Woodbine Racetrack she recorded a win at this same level in London to conclude her sophomore campaign.

With a record reading 10-2-7 in 34 starts, Camille has earned $328,220 lifetime.

She paid $2.60 to win as the 1-4 favourite.
