Followers of the North American harness racing scene got accustomed to watching the magnificent Hannelore Hanover show up and dominate for the majority of the past three racing seasons. In a way, it's hard to imagine that she won't be back on track when racing ultimately returns this year. That being said, although the 'trotting queen' herself won't be returning to the races, it has been announced that she now has a full sibling that will surely have some big shoes to fill.

It has been announced that a full sister to Hannelore Hanover (Swan For All - High Sobriety - Dream Vacation) was born this past Tuesday (April 21). Frank Baldachino recently shared an image of the youngster on social media, which has whet the appetite of trotting fans that are eager to see more distaff dominance. The foal is the seventh out of High Sobriety and the second by Swan For All.

Hannelore Hanover was trained by Ron Burke and finished her career with 46 wins from 87 starts and $3.3 million in purses. She was owned by Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi, Baldachino, and J&T Silva Stables prior to being sold to Hanover Shoe Farms this past fall.

In addition to her Breeders Crown Open and Maple Leaf Trot victories, Hannelore Hanover won a Breeders Crown Mare Trot, a record three Armbro Flight finals, two TVG Mare Trot championships, the Hambletonian Maturity, Centaur Trotting Classic, Fresh Yankee, Cutler Memorial, Muscle Hill, Allerage Open Trot, and Miami Valley Distaff.

“She’s a tremendous horse,” Hannelore Hanover's regular driver, Yannick Gingras, said last fall. “She’s one of the best ones I’ve ever driven; she’s definitely right there at the top. What I really liked about her is that every time you went on the track you knew what you were going to get. You got behind her and you knew she was going to give you 110 per cent. Most nights, 110 per cent was enough.”
