The Saratogian has reported that wagering at the six off-track betting locations in New York State was down from 7.6 to 12.1 per cent during the first quarter — a combined $28 million.

“All of the OTBs are facing significant challenges,” Raymond Casey, president of NYC OTB, was quoted as saying in The Saratogian article. “The whole industry is down. When handle (the amount wagered) goes down, everyone suffers.”
