Twin Delight Upsets In Harrington Mares Open

Hutt Racing Stable’s Twin Delight ($90.80) and driver Art Stafford Jr. sprung an upset in the $30,822 Mares Open Handicap Pace on Tuesday, April 16 at Harrington Raceway in 1:52.4.

Twin Delight, a four-year-old Bettors Delight mare, made a steady gain on the outside first-over towards three-quarters at pacesetter Grandeur Seelster and hit the wire first in a blanket three-horse finish. Majorca N was second with Grandeur Seelster third.

The Jim King Jr. student earned her second win of the season from a dozen starts and her 13th career win.

Stafford Jr. had a driving triple while Ross Wolfenden had four wins on the card.

Live harness racing will continue on a Monday through Wednesday schedule with post time at 4:30 p.m.
