Dahlquist Hanover won the $11,000 Preferred Handicap Trot at The Raceway at Western Fair District on Wednesday, March 6.

Travis Henry and the Garry Merner trainee got away second behind The Great Reset (Lorne House) and followed the pocket trip along the rail through panels in :28, :58.1 and 1:27.3. With the outer flow holding the outside, Dahlquist Hanover chose the inside path to victory down the stretch, winning by one length in 1:57.2. The Great Reset had to settle for second and El Toro Loco (Garrett Rooney) completed the top three.

Dahlquist Hanover (Walner-Dangle Then Deke) is a four-year-old gelding owned by Gino Toscani. He earned his third win in 10 starts this season. In 40 career starts, he has made 11 trips to the winner's circle and earned $131,721. As the bettors' choice in his class, Dahlquist Hanover returned $5.50 to win.
