The stock is quickly rising on pacing mare Headpoles R Us, who has done nothing but win races since teaming up with high percentage trainer Chris Haskell

.

The streaking daughter of Bo Knows Jate notched her sixth consecutive victory earlier this evening at Western Fair Raceway, and all six of those efforts have put a smile on the face – and money in the wallet – of owner Ronald Haskell of Windsor, ON.

The elder Haskell claimed Headpoles R Us for $7,500 at Windsor Raceway on January 7, 2009, and since then she has banked $25,800.

“To be honest, what I liked the most about her was the price,” said trainer Chris Haskell when asked about what drew him to the mare. “The previous connections double dropped her after the new year and she also lost her four-year-old allowance."

Brad Forward engineered the off-the-pace score with Headpoles R Us in tonight’s $15,200 Fillies & Mares Preferred Pace, and that was good news to the longshot players who cashed in to the tune of 17-1. Trace Of Luck was second and Just Her Way finished third.

“She's a bit aggressive at the farm so I changed her to a open bridle and I let her hopples out an inch and a half,” added Haskell when asked if he made any changes to the pacer. “I also removed both burr headpoles and just added a half pole to the inside.”

In other Monday action at the London, ON oval, Trottin Troy picked up his second win in the $18,400 Preferred Trot for the team of driver Dave Wall and trainer Steve Bossence.

The five-year-old son of Chip Chip Hooray was last to the quarter pole, but first to the finish line in a time of 1:59.4. Loose Change Louie was second to the 9-5 favourite, with New Dice Please taking home third prize.

Parent Racing Stable LLC and Crystal Ball Stables of Ohio share ownership on the gelding, who has racked up five wins in his first eight starts of the season. He bumped his lifetime earnings $232,553 with the win.

Shadywood Baron nabbed his first win of the season thanks to a 1:57 triumph in the $12,800 Preferred-2 Pace. Alex Lilley went wire-to-wire with the six-year-old son of Rambaran, who defeated Grissini and Three Cents.

Jim Ellis conditions the 15-time winner for owner Betty Ellis of Essex, ON. The gelding has banked $164,851 to date.
