Tyler Moore mapped out a beautiful trip for St Lads Cash in Monday’s main event – the $13,000 Preferred – at The Raceway at Western Fair District, and the gelding parlayed it into a six-length score.

Leaving from Post 3, Moore was able to manoeuvre into the pocket with St Lads Cash while Sportsline threw down first-half fractions of :28.1 and :58.1.  Moore tipped to the outside in the third quarter with St Lads Cash, and the pacer used his quick turn of foot to show a short lead while racing parked past the three-quarter pole in 1:27.

St Lads Cash then used a :28.3 closing frame to win by six lengths over Sportsline in a sharp clocking of 1:55.3.  Prestige Seelster took home the show dough in the eight-horse affair.

Sent off as the 3-2 favourite, the seven-year-old son of Sunfire Blue Chip-St Lads Coco improved his 2023 record to 2-2-1 from 11 attempts for owner/trainer Michelle Leblanc of Guelph, Ont.  The 20-time winner pushed his lifetime earnings over $190,000 in the process.
