She Is Strong was a convincing winner in the $50,950 DSBF overnight late closer for three-year-old filly trotters at Bally’s Dover on Monday evening.

Miss Daburg was allowed to set fractions of :28, :57.3 and 1:27.2 while the 2-5 betting favourite, She Is Strong and driver Tim Tetrick, sat comfortable in third.  She then brushed confidently past the three-quarters before extending her lead confidently in the stretch. She went on to win by 9-1/2 lengths over Lady Brass in a lifetime mark of 1:56.4.  Miss Daburg finished third.  She paid $2.80 to win.

She Is Strong, a daughter of Anders Bluestone, hails from the stable of trainer Art Stafford Jr. and is owned by Jeffrey Clark of Centerville, Maryland.  She Is Strong returned $2.80 to win.

On Tuesday, three-year-old colt and gelding trotters compete in the $50,950 DSBF Late Closer Final.  Also on the betting card is the $25,000 Open Trot featuring JL Cruze, who won last week.

Post time at Bally’s Dover is 4:30 p.m.
