Going Platinum took no prisoners and won the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) late closer for three-year-old fillies on the trot in 1:58.2 at Bally’s Dover on Monday night, March 25, collecting the winner's share of the $68,986 purse.

Going Platinum left aggressively and gave the cold shoulder to Laurieshappylinsy and FD Pure Platinum, who were both parked trotting to the quarter pole. Going Platinum set race fractions of :29 flat to the quarter.

Driver Corey Callahan backed the half down to :59.2, for a :30.2 breather. Platinum Proposal maneuvered off the pylons and chased Going Platinum first-over down the backstretch. The three-year-old trotters matched strides passing the three-quarters in 1:28.2.

In the stretch, Going Platinum sprinted clear and won by 2-3/4 lengths in 1:58.2, a new lifetime mark. She paid $3 for the win. Platinum Proposal was second and Starfish finished third.
