A pair of Netherlands imports bookended a training triple for Francis Guillemette during the 10-race card at The Raceway at Western Fair District on Friday night.
Guillemette's three-win night included close victories with five-year-old trotters Lincoln Transsr NL ($9.90, Brett MacDonald) in the fourth race and Lions Wish NL ($4.70, Tyler Borth) in the finale -- both owned by Pieter Delis of Almere, Netherlands.
A back-to-back winner since joining the Guillemette barn this month, Steve Adams's 10-year-old claiming mare Howmacfiesty ($10.30, J Harris) also gave the Guelph, Ont. trainer a victory in the fifth race pace.
Following a career-best season in 2022 with 55 wins and more than a half-million in purse earnings, Guillemette's stable has recorded 24 wins and more than $200,000 in earnings so far this year.
