Perfect through the first month of the Fraser Downs meet, Outlaw C My Shadow extended his win streak against Open company on Friday night (Feb. 24).

Trained by Connie Kolthammer, Outlaw C My Shadow was quick off the gate in Friday night's $10,000 Open Pace and cruised through fractions of :26.3, :55.2 and 1:23.1 to a 1-3/4-length victory over an army of Kelly Hoerdt trainees. Brandon Campbell drove the 1:52.1 winner, who was the 1-9 favourite and returned $2.20 to win and $2.10 to place. There was no show wagering.

Joe Dimagio (Hoerdt) secured the pocket trip early on in the six-horse field and held off Lets Tie One On (Scott Knight) in a photo for place while their stablemate Armycaptin Hanover (David Hudon) finished back in fourth in a dead-heat with the Travis Tracey-trained Pureform Mr Toffee (John Vukelich).

Outlaw C M Shadow began his win streak with a pair of Open triumphs this past November and picked up where he left off in his return from a winter break, rattling off four more in February.

The six-year-old Shadow Play-Grand Slam Woman gelding now has 16 victories in his career with $155,322 in purse earnings for Outlaw West Stable of Falun, Alta.
