Seven qualifiers were contested Friday morning at The Meadowlands, and there was no shortage of star power on display.

Over a track rated ‘sloppy’, the Ron Burke-trained Clear Vision splashed to a 1:55.3 victory in his assignment. Yannick Gingras worked out a second-over trip for the speedster, who catapulted off cover late and fired home in :27.3 to win by a neck over stablemate Annieswesterncard. Yo Cheyenne Rocky was third.

The eight-year-old son of Western Hanover-Artistic Vision, who was a qualifying winner in 1:55.3 on Feb. 15 at The Meadowlands, hasn’t raced in a pari-mutuel event since finishing fourth in last October’s Breeders Crown final at Pocono Downs. The 23-time winner who boasts a bankroll in excess of $1.7 million is owned by Burke Racing Stable LLC, Weaver Bruscemi LLC, The Panhellenic Stb Corp and James Koran.

Somwherovrarainbow was a front-stepping winner in her qualifying assignment for the tandem of driver Brian Sears and trainer Joe Holloway. She was parked past the quarter pole before finding the front, and once she cleared she didn’t look back en route to a half-length score over Swinging Beauty in 1:55.2. Machs Beach Boy was third.

The four-year-old daughter of Somebeachsomewhere-Rainbow Blue used a :27.1 final quarter to win the qualifier, which was her first start since finishing third in last November’s Nadia Lobell final at The Meadowlands. The 12-time winner, who is owned by Ted Gewertz and Diamond Creek Racing, has banked $881.540 to date.

The other qualifying winners during Friday morning’s session were Drama Free (1:59.2), Tall Cotton (1:57.4), Sweet Charity (1:55.3), See And Ski (1:55.1) and All The Buzz (1:58).
