The Western Fair Association has announced that Amy O’Toole has been named the new Manager of Equine Programming, which includes The Raceway’s day-to-day operation and supporting management of the London Classic Yearling Sale.

Amy O'Toole

O’Toole will be rejoining the racetrack where she first began her career in the industry. The home grown native of London, Ont., who comes from a racing family, started at The Raceway as the saddle pad person in her teen years before eventually working into a role as assistant manager of mutuels and most recently as the manager of marketing and communications.

“Our entire team is excited to have Amy accept this new role,” said Greg Blanchard, Director of Equine Programming. “Much of her professional development has come right here and she’s become very well respected along the way. It is a terrific opportunity for her and her experience in almost every facet of the business will make her an asset to our organization and the provincial industry. “

O’Toole will begin her new role on March 6 and is looking forward to her return to racing.

“I have so many memories of my time at Western Fair and am tremendously excited to rejoin the organization," said O'Toole. "We have a great team and I’m really looking to learning from and collaborating with all of the industry stakeholders in this new role.”
