Pembrook Legacy N was the first out of the gate in the $13,000 Preferred Pace and kept on rolling to win on Tuesday (Dec. 6) evening at The Raceway at the Western Fair District.

The field of eight made its way to the start and right from the centre was an aggressive leaving Pembrook Legacy N and driver Lorne House. The second-choice set the tempo for the mile with an opening quarter in :28.2. Pembrook Legacy N faced pressure on the outside with half the field split behind a first-over Night Watchman (Nick Boyd) through the :59 half and 1:27.4 three-quarters. Around the final turn, the field fanned out three-wide in pursuit of leading Pembrook Legacy N. Kenny Joe (Scott Coulter) made one last push down the stretch, but was unable to catch the 1:57.2 winner. Beachin Lindy (Stephen Charlton) finished third.

Pictured above in a previous win, Pembrook Legacy N is a nine-year-old gelding by Bettors Delight. Trained by Lorne House and owned by Samuel Taylor, Pembrook Legacy N has a record of 17-10-9 in 63 lifetime starts with $136,388 in career earnings.
