Harvest Final To All Muscle N Sass

Front-end speed was holding up very well on a very windy and snowy card Monday evening at Woodbine Mohawk Park, and it played out perfectly for All Muscle N Sass in the final of the Harvest Series for three-year-old trotting fillies.

All Muscle N Sass shot to the lead from Post 7 for driver Travis Cullen, and just as she did in last week’s second leg of the series – once she cleared it was game over for the others.

The Jodie Cullen trainee hustled the field through panels of :29.4, 1:00 and 1:30 before scooting home in :30 to win by three-quarters of a length over race favourite Stonebridge Strong in 2:00. Doing It All took home the show dough in the $43,900 event.

Maggie Jones and Jody Simmons own the daughter of Muscle Mass-Hallmarker T who improved her seasonal record to 4-2-2 from 18 starts. The sophomore bumped her lifetime earnings to $70,680 with the win.

Priceless Beach was treated to a perfect, pocket trip in the $30,000 Pop Up Series Final, and the Shawn Steacy trainee didn’t let it go to waste.

James MacDonald tucked the eventual winner into the two-hole while Wildriverbumblebee shot to the top and knifed out fractions of :29, :58.4 and 1:27.4. The leader drifted out in the lane, and MacDonald drilled through a big opening at the rail en route to posting the win by 2-1/4 lengths over race favourite Intrigued Again in 1:56.1. Wildriverbumblebee settled for third prize.

Sweetgrass Equestrian Inc of Milton, Ont. owns the five-year-old son of Sunshine Beach-JK Priceless Pearl who improved his 2021 record to 3-3-2 from 16 starts with the win. To date, the pacer has earned $142,444.
