Rebounding from a last-place finish, Kandor Hanover followed cover beautifully, then charged through the lane to capture Monday’s $22,500 Filly & Mare Preferred Trot

at The Meadows.

Defeated in the slop as the 3-2 favourite last week, Kandor Hanover trotted along the cones in mid-pack before she picked up the live cover of Hawaiianphotograph. She peeled off for Dave Palone in the stretch and triumphed in 1:54.3, her fastest win this year. Caviar Forthe Lady was 2-1/4 lengths back in second with Slightly Tipsy third.

Bill Zendt trains Kandor Hanover, a five-year-old daughter of Tagliabue-Katelyns Glory who has banked $416,985 to date, for Online Stables, John Burns and Pat Huber.

Palone, Aaron Merriman and Brian Zendt each drove three winners on the 15-race card.
