Ohio Slots Plan Makes The Ballot

Gov. Ted Strickland’s plan to place slots at Ohio’s seven racetracks seems to be an issue that will appear on the November 2010 ballot

According to a report in the Dayton Daily News, Gene Pierce, treasurer of LetOhioVote.org, stated that the group has gathered the 241,366 signatures required to put the issue on the November 2010 ballot with two weeks to go before a December 20 deadline.

“We’ve got the magic number,” said Pierce, who hopes to defeat the plan.
