Fitting for a season finale, leading trainer Jodie Cullen captured a training triple on the Sunday, Dec. 31 evening card.

Travis Cullen piloted all three to victory including Going Yard ($2.80) to a 5-3/4-length triumph in 1:56.4, Last Call Gerome ($4.70) by a half length in 1:56.4, and Brodys Scrapper ($2.40) by 6-1/2 lengths in 1:57.1.

It was a perfect (three-for-three) ending to a career-year for the Cullen stable, pushing her overall win count in 2023 to 225 (second highest in the nation) and earnings just shy of $2.4 million (third best in Canada).

Jodie Cullen topped the training ranks at Flamboro Downs with 96 wins to earn the track's Leading Trainer title. Richard Moreau sent out 67 victors to finish second and Gerard Demers grabbed third with 51 tallies.

Travis Henry led all drivers with 133 victories in 2023 to take home Flamboro's Leading Driver title. In a close race for the title, Brett MacDonald finished second with 128 wins and Scott Coulter finished third with 121 wins.

With Thursday, Jan. 4 as the next race card, Flamboro Downs resumes racing on a Thursday through Sunday schedule with a 6:35 p.m. first post time.
