On Wednesday (Nov. 4), Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel played host to a new mini-series for three-year-old trotters eligible to the Kentucky Sire Stakes and Fair Stakes, and trainer Anette Lorentzon and driver Elliott Deaton teamed up to sweep both preliminary events.

Eight trotting fillies lined up in the first of the two $15,000 elimination races. Graceful Winner and driver Elliott Deaton got up in time to beat Delovely Hall and driver Randy Crisler by three-quarters of a length in 1:54.4. The daughter of Manofmanymissions is trained by Anette Lorentzon and is owned by Kentuckiana Racing Stable.

The second event, for three-year-old trotting colts and geldings, saw Elliott Deaton steer Some Chapter to a wire-to-wire win in 1:55.3. The Chapter Seven gelding dug in to hold off Golden Genes and driver Kyle Wilfong by three-quarters of a length for trainer Anette Lorenzton and owners Acl Stuteri Ab and Kjell Johansson.

The $25,000 finals will be held on Nov. 15.
