Leading the entire mile, Acefortyfourdome paced to victory in the Thursday evening (Nov. 3) top event at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

Driver Jason Hughes hustled his trainee to the lead in the $3,200 Fillies and Mares Preferred Pace and strutted through splits of :28.2, :58.1 and 1:27.3 before fending off a late challenge from the pocket-sitting Tobins Brownie (Driven by David Dowling) to win by a half length in 1:55.3. Ladylike (Corey MacPherson) held down third to complete the triactor ticket. Donald MacRae of Vernon Bridge holds the ownership papers on Acefortyfourdome, a daughter of Up The Credit.

Jessiejesorjessica captured the $2,800 Open Trot with a come from behind victory in 1:59.2 as the heavy favourite. The Jennifer Doyle-trained daughter of Justice Hall was unhurried at the start, getting away last in the short field then swooping to win by three-lengths over Freddie (Marc Campbell) and Incredible Two (Kenny Arsenault). Doyle shares ownership of the winner with Danny Birt of Earnscliffe.

The Campbell stable prevailed in the final two dashes of the night winning with Southwind Arturo (1:58.4 winning mile) in a $2,450 trot and with Plain Jane (1:55.1) in the $2,850 Fillies and Mares Preferred 2 Pace.
