Majorca N dominated a field of Open pacing mares at Bally’s Dover on Wednesday night (Nov. 2).

Despite being off five weeks, Majorca N left alertly and set fractions of :26.4, :55.3 and 1:23.3. Shes Pukka N also left, but accepted the pocket trip. Scarlett Hanover moved first over down the backstretch and challenged Majorca N at three-quarters, but faded late. Majorca N had plenty left in the stretch and won by 2-1/2 lengths, pacing the mile in 1:51.3.

Majorca N (show here in a previous Dover win) is owned by Michael Casalino Jr. and trainer Dylan Davis. Corey Callahan steered the mare who paid $4 to win.

Shes Pukka N finished second for trainer Brian Malone. Tony Morgan drove. Grace Rocks finished third for trainer Jamal Williams and driver Simon Allard.

Corey Callahan had a driving triple on the card.

Bally’s Dover will host four Matron Stakes for two-year-olds on Thursday (Nov. 3). The first Matron Stake is a non-wagering event. Matron Stakes continue in Race 1, Race 4 and Race 10 on the wagering card.

Post time at Bally’s Dover is 4:30 p.m. (EDT).
