Borth Scores With Five At Western Fair

Tyler Borth piloted five horses to victory during the 10-race card on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at The Raceway at Western Fair District.

Bucktober, and Borth opened up the card with a gate-to-wire victory in 1:58.1. After making every pole a winning one through stations in :28.4, :59 and 1:28.1, the Katie MacNeil trainee collected his victory by two lengths at the wire over Hot Fudge Sundae (Alfred Carroll) and The Great Reset (Lorne House). 

Borth co-owns the four-year-old Flanagan Memory gelding with William Borth and Karen Sparling as he earned his 18th career victory to go along with $99,298 earned. Bucktober paid $2.50 to win.

Borth resumed the winning spree with a half-length victory in 1:59.2 by Mike Timpano student I Loved Her First ($4) in race four and then a 1-3/4-length victory in 2:01.1 by Paul Megens trainee Im A Karen ($2.10) in race five. In race seven, he took Rose Run Yolette ($4.90) gate-to-wire to win by a neck in 2:01.3 for trainer Richard Griffiths. 

To complete his five-bagger with book-end victories, Borth piloted a final gate-to-wire triumph with Muscles Aplenty. The win was a one-length achievement in 2:01.2 for the Joseph Shaw trainee. He paid $5.60 to win.

Borth sits atop the driving standings for the season at Western Fair with 175 wins so far and a current lead by 69 wins.
