Bettor N Better Tightens Up

Bettor N Better recorded her first charted line for his new connections Friday morning during the Meadowlands Racetrack’s qualifying session, and the Jugette elimination winner did so in convincing fashion.

Bettor N Better was in the Ron Burke Stable when she won a heat of the Jugette. She went through the Harrisburg sale last week and was a $70,000 pick up by Bamond Racing. She looked sharp this morning in preparation for the Meadowlands’ upcoming Tarport Hap, as she paced to a gate-to-wire 1:53.1 win for driver Brett Miller.

In other Friday morning qualifying action at the Meadowlands, Emeritus Maximus paced to a wire-to-wire 1:55 victory for driver John Campbell. The hard-hitting veteran has missed the entire 2015 season and is currently navigating the comeback trail for the Cancelliere Brothers.

Draw Notes For Next Week

The Meadowlands will draw for Friday, November 20 and Saturday, November 21 on Monday, November 16 with the box closing at 9 a.m. There are a number of stakes finals on those two cards.

Regarding all TVG Finals, horses must be entered for these races by the close of the box on Monday. The conditions allow for those horses that have raced in fewer than half of the legs to race in the final if positions remain available.

The Tarport Hap (three-year-old filly pace) and Continentalvictory (three-year-old filly trot) will use the top money earners (in 2015) format and up to twelve starters will be accepted.

Entries are closed for the Fall Final Four stakes and those competing in eliminations will be entered automatically into the finals.

All of these stakes pay one per cent of the purse to all finishers back of fifth.

Questions and phone entries should be directed to the race office at 201-842-5130.
