Revenant proved to be too much for the field in the Northside Downs feature on Monday, Oct. 9, unleashing a dominant performance in the Winners Over Pace, highlighting the 10-race card.

Starting from post position two in the field of seven, driver Zachary Mullins hustled Revenant immediately to the lead in the opening stages, leading the field to the opening quarter in :28. Revenant remained respected on the lead as the race favourite as he continued to hold the field at bay to the half in :57.3.

A Better Man and Adam Lynk were the first to join to outer flow moving into fourth on the outside as Revenant began to open up on the field in the third quarter, reaching that station in 1:27.2 with a lead of just over four lengths.

Revenant remained ruthless on the lead in the final stanza, opening up his lead to five on the line, motoring home in :30.1 to stop the timer in 1:57.3 in the $1,600 feature. Euchred and Walter Walker finished second, with A Better Man getting up for third. Revenant returned $3.20 to his backers at the betting windows.

The victory was the second consecutive and seventh on the season for the nine-year-old gelded son of If I Can Dream-Dragonfest, trained by John Hawco. The victory was the 25th in the career of Revenant, who now boasts a career bankroll of $59,103 for owners Kyla MacDonald, Tyler Lynk and Colby Lynk.
