Michelle, Century Love Top Lexington Sale Day Four

Pacing filly Michelle (pictured above) and trotting colt Century Love topped the fourth session of the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale on Thursday (Oct. 5), each garnering an $85,000 price tag.

Hip 661 Michelle, was consigned by Brittany Farms LLC and bought by Joe Holloway of Freehold, New Jersey. She is the daughter of Papi Rob Hanover and American Allure.

Selling as Hip 836, Century Love is the son of the French stallion Love You and Century Empress (1:55.4 - $48,750). He was consigned by Peninsula Farm and was bought by the Andy Miller Stable, Inc. of Millstone Twp, New Jersey.

Hip 755 Take Home Pay, consigned by Cane Run Farm, produced an $81,000 tag with the winning bidder Timothy Drag of Chester, New Jersey. He is the son of Propulsion and Temple Runs (1:53.3 - $301,078) and is a half-brother to sophomore Talkin Bout You (1:54.1 - $66,250).

Hip 757 Captain Kyler was bought for $80,000 by Tony Alagna of Howell, New Jersey, acting as agent. Peninsula Farm consigned the son of Bettors Wish and The Captains Angel.

Hip 768 Kountry Joal also yielded an $80,000 bid. Consigned by Anvil And Lace Farm, the Chapter Seven colt was bought by Maurice Chodash of Lighthouse Pt, Florida. He is out of Whispering Oaks (1:54 - $306,744).

With 208 yearlings going through the ring on Thursday, the total sales grossed $4,973,800 with an average sale price of $23,913. The sales were down from 2022's $4,946,000 from 164 yearlings with an average sale price of $30,159. In 2022, 748 yearlings entered the sale ring as of the fourth session, with $60,435,000 grossed over the four days. This year, 815 yearlings have gone through the ring as of Thursday with $63,458,800 handled.
