A Breeders Crown Open Pace entrant, a three-year-old colt pacer in-to-go in a stakes race at Hoosier Park, and an elite class three-year-old trotter all headline what owner and manager David Reid describes as a “monster” Halloween sale for Preferred Equine Online.

The sale is open for bidding now at preferredequineonline.com. Bids start to close Monday, Oct. 31 at 3 p.m. in hip number order.

“This was shaping up as an exceptional sale when entries first started arriving,” Reid said, “and it’s filled out to be our best auction to date. There are 34 racehorses — many in-to-go this weekend — four broodmares, two yearlings and one stallion share. So there’s something for everyone.”

Leading the brigade is Hip 36 Abuckabett Hanover p,3,1:49.1 ($962,798), who’s facing off once again against Bulldog Hanover, this time in Saturday’s Breeders Crown Open Pace. The near-millionaire is already a classics winner, having won the Tattersalls at three over Perfect Sting.

The final hip in the sale, 41, is multiple stakes winner Sling Shock p,3,1:49.3h-’22 ($358,382), who just won the Pegasus at Hoosier in his last start in 1:51.1. He’s in-to-go Friday night, Oct. 28 in the $61,700 Circle City there as he seeks to add to his sparkling resume.

Featured on the trotting side of the ledger is Hip 28, the three-year-old Robertsin 3,1:51.3-’22 ($193,035). He’s a sophomore gelding who won his Peter Haughton elim at two and this year at three won the Muscle Hill and NJ Classic-B elim, both at the Meadowlands. He was placed in the Yonkers Trot elim.

Reid said a pair of horses also not to be missed are the one-two finishers in Monday’s $125,000 Massachusetts Sire Stakes Three-Year-Old Colt & Gelding Pace Final: Striking Impact p,3,1:52.2f-’22 and Treacherous Tom p,3,1:52.1f-’22. “Both are top shelf, $200,000 winners,” he said. “They’re by Always B Miki and Captaintreacherous and both have incredibly bright futures.”

The sale roster and past performances are available at preferredequineonline.com. Those planning to bid may register on the website.
