Trot Insider has learned that an accident in the ninth race at Truro Raceway on Sunday, October 2 sent drivers Gilles Barrieau and Clayton Stevens to hospital
.
Early reports from the hospital indicate that Barrieau broke his wrist and a single finger. There are no reports on Stevens at the moment, but before the ambulance departed for the hospital he was experiencing strong pains in his chest. Stevens noted that a horse landed on his chest during the accident.
Both drivers were conscious and alert after the accident.
