On Saturday, Nov. 11, the Meadowlands Amateur Driving Club will honour five chosen charity recipients with $10,000 donations.
Through the second and third quarters of 2023, $50,000 was raised from club members' five per cent driver fees.
During September’s board meeting, the following five charities were selected to receive the donations: The Standardbred Retirement Foundation, New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program, Purple Haze Standardbred Adoption Program, Racing for Home and 13 Hands Equine Rescue.
On Nov. 11, the charity representatives will receive a VIP Night at the Track experience that includes dinner, race presentation and interview following cheque presentations.
