According to a report, controversial and highly successful thoroughbred trainer Rick Dutrow may soon be coming to a racetrack near you
The Thoroughbred Daily News has reported that Dutrow has been granted a 30-day stay from the judgement which was handed to him by the New York State Racing and Wagering Board on October 12. The NYSRWB had slapped Dutrow, who has a long history of training violations, with a 10-year ban from racing in the state. The board also handed him a $50,000 fine.
The report explains that Dutrow's attorney, Michael Koenig, filed a petition in Schenectady County Supreme Court on October 17 which indicated that his client is preparing an appeal of the NYSRWB decision.
Dutrow will be allowed to continue training during his stay.
