Ahead of the live card of harness racing set for Saturday (Oct. 15) at Woodbine Mohawk Park, star driver Bob McClure will be meeting fans and signing autographs as part of the 2022 Breeders Crown Charity Challenge.
Bob McClure represents Team Determination in support of Kids Help Phone. Fans can meet McClure and Kids Help Phone representatives at 6 p.m. at the Community Corner, located near the program booth on the main floor of the grandstand.
Running from Sept. 7 to Oct. 27, the Breeders Crown Charity Challenge invites four teams, with each entry comprised of a prominent owner, their charity of choice, and a Woodbine leading driver, to compete to net the largest donation amount. The teams are as follows:
- Team Brad Grant/Doug McNair – Charity: Milton District Hospital Foundation
- Team Determination/Bob McClure – Charity: Kids Help Phone Line
- Team Steve Heimbecker/James MacDonald – Charity: Pine River Institute
- Team Libfeld-Katz/Louis-Philippe Roy – Charity: Peter Munk Cardiac Centre - SickKids Hospital Toronto
With a minimum of $25,000 guaranteed to each charity, the additional monies will be decided through a Driver Challenge and Social Media Challenge.
Supporters are asked to use the Twitter hashtag of their favourite team and include #CrownCharity22. Team Determination’s hashtag is #DeterminedToWin.
