Fashion Frenzie Dominates In Open Trot

Even with the race office assigning Fashion Frenzie the outside post in Monday’s $58,500 Open Trot, he was much the best once again for the tandem of driver Louis-Philippe Roy and trainer Richard Moreau.

Roy wasted no time hustling Fashion Frenzie to the lead from Post 9, and after cutting his way through fractions of :27.2, :56.1 and 1:25.1, the gelding marched home in :27.2 to win by two lengths over Forbidden Trade in 1:52.3.  Taking home third prize was White Tiger.      

The four-year-old son of Archangel-Striking Fashion is now a seven-time winner this season from just eight trips to the track.  The 18-time winner, who is owned by Ecurie Francis Richard Inc, Mario Bourgea, Pierre Guillemette and Sylvain Richard, pushed his lifetime earnings to $947,831 with the win.
