Fredericton Raceway hosted its final program of the 2009 season on Thursday evening, and Gilles Barrieau
put on a clinic.
Barrieau, who put together a four-win performance, locked up the driving championship in the process. He won the fastest mile of the night with Trust Me Lee (1:59.1) and took the feature race with Slim N Sleek (2:00). Earlier victories with Hello America (2:04) and Funonastar (2:00.1) played a part in the Thursday evening Grand Slam.
Stephen Trites managed one win, finishing second in the standings with 28 victories. Power Flex (2:02.4) earned the win for Trites.
